Merry Christmas!

This is just a quick post to say sorry I haven't posted in a month, I have been majorly busy with work and then it being christmas yesterday I had a busy day with my family. I hope you all had a fabulous day and got what you wanted, I got loads of new make up - mainly Benefit - my family know me too well haha. This means I will be have loads of new products to write blogs about!

I'm going to be starting properly in the new year again as I am a bit busy between now and new year.

I promise I will post in the new year regularly and hopefully the posts will get better :)

Have a good new years eve, celebrating the year you've had and bringing in 2015 in style!

Hair Rehab!

Hey guys!

Sorry I didn't post last week, I've been getting busy at work now as its coming up to christmas I've been working pretty much every day.

This week I was going to do a video tutorial on my daily make up routine, I still might if I get a chance so keep an eye out :) now I had to think of something else to write about I know this is meant to a make up blog but I also want to talk about other beauty products so am changing it to a beauty/fashion blog!

I have used hair extensions for a while now, normally only when I go out but recently I have changed hair colour so didn't really want to buy more or colour my extensions so I ordered a hair piece from Lauren Pope's range at Hair Rehab London, I ordered the syn wrap ponytail in Blondette, it arrived today after ordering it friday and I am really happy with it! I was unsure what colour I would need so sent a photo to their colour match service and they emailed back with the colour I should get, the colour they recommended was perfect!

The ponytail is easy to apply, you simply put your hair up in a pony tail,  slide the clip in, wrap the ponytail round and clip the extra bit of hair so it looks natural. The particular hair piece I got you can buy online at http://www.hairrehablondon.com I got mine for less than £30 with postage&packaging.

I will post a better photo Sunday night on my twitter and will include in next weeks blog so you can see what it looks like properly! Hope you decide to buy something from them, I highly recommend it!

Hello Flawless!

Hey :)

Hope you've had a good week and done some fun stuff for bonfire night. I managed to see some fireworks last night as they were cancelled Saturday due to the crap weather so I was happy as I'm a big kid when it comes to fireworks haha.

This week I wanted to do a blog on Benefit, I absolutely love their cosmetics and have done for years thanks to my auntie! She has always used them for as long as I can remember so I've always had 'expensive taste' in make up as my mum says. However, even though Benefit may seem expensive compared to brands like Rimmel London or Maybelline the products actually last much longer in comparison. I have just run out of my foundation I got from Benefit which I bought in May and I have used it everyday, sometimes twice a day if I'm going out and I want to reapply, and the foundation I personally use now is called 'Hello Flawless'.

Hello Flawless has an SPF in it so when its sunny it will protect your skin from getting damaged. The reason why I love this foundation so much is that it gives great coverage and you only need to apply a tiny amount which will last all day. You can also buy a Hello Flawless powder and a Stay Flawless primer so if you wear all three you are guaranteed to have your make up on all day!
(Personally I use Porefessional, also by Benefit.)

The photo on the left is before I applied Hello Flawless, the photo on the right is after. As you can see it makes my skin look so much better, gives an even tone and even managed to hide the bags under my eyes! Its like magic in a tube 😍

The colour of my foundation is Honey (i'm so money), you can buy it online at https://www.benefitcosmetics.co.uk or go into your local Boots or Debenhams where you should find a counter so if you are unsure of the colour you need someone can help you out!

Happy Halloween/Bonfire Night!

Hey Guys!

Hope this week has been fun for you all and my tips are working! Halloween is a good time of year for make up as you can get creative, if its messy it doesn't matter and everyone gets involved!

I was allowed to dress up for work on halloween this year so I went as a devire (devil/vampire) so I made sure my face was white, I put red face paint on my eyes with some eyeliner and mascara and I created a black/red lip stick with the face paint too. I was happy with my overall look, it was pretty quick and easy too!

I'd love to see what you all dressed up as too and whether my tips from previous weeks have been working - tweet me @LydiaCoopster!

Have a sparkly bonfire night too :)

Hey guys :)

I decided I'm going to be posting a new blog weekly, this is because I don't want to run out of things to say and plus where I'm new to this I want to try and make these blogs as good as possible!

I hope you've had a good week and maybe took my last tip about having a no make up day into consideration, remember you're not going to see results straight away so give it time.

This weeks tip is for everyone but people with oily skin, like myself, will benefit most from this. I always use a loose powder on top of my make up, especially on my t zone, however I now put powder on before I put my primer and make up. I do this because it helps your make up stay on longer and also will soak up some of the oil your skin produces and make it less visible. I have found this really helps so give it a try and let me know what you think :)

Also I'm thinking of doing a youtube tutorial of my daily make up...

Fresh faced

Hey guys :)

I hope you've all had a good day, whether you've been at school, work or just chilling like me. I've had a pretty busy few weeks so its been nice to relax today and not do too much to be honest, the best thing about not doing much is that you don't have to put make up on which is great for your skin as it gives your skin time to breath.

I try to let my skin have a no make up day at least once a week, I've been doing it for a while now and I've really started to notice a difference in how my skin has improved! When i was a teenager I used to get loads of spots all the time and even though I went to an all girls school I'd feel like I would still have to make an effort because there were prettier girls than me, skinnier than me and smarter than me so even though there were no boys to impress I would always put more make up over my spots to try and hide them. Of course teenagers get spots its all to do with hormones etc and I knew putting more make up over them wasn't good for my skin, infact it probably made it worse, however at the time I was so embarrassed I would probably cake it on, which also wasn't a good look.

If you can try and wear no make up for a day once a week or even once a month, you will eventually notice an improvement even if it takes a while it will be worth it in the long run. Also a plus side of this is you'll become more confident, today I went out to numerous shops with no make up on and I would never have done that about 4 months ago but there I was today not bothered about what people thought so it can boost your confidence too!

I thought I would even upload a photo so you can see how clear my skin is looking now, its definitely healthier now.

Hopefully you'll do this and eventually have more confidence with who you are :)
